Bio
Tyler Cacek was born in 1990 grew up enjoying life in Columbia, Missouri. Tyler’s burning passion for storytelling and documentary photography took off in high school after enrolling in a class on humanitarian issues and joining the school newspaper.
Tyler began his professional career immediately after high school and left the U.S. for Africa to focus his photojournalistic efforts on the lives of the individuals affected by conflict and social injustice. Currently, he has completed assignments in Southern Sudan, Uganda, and The Democratic Republic of Congo.
His dream, rapidly becoming reality, is to promote global humanitarian awareness and international community by photographing from areas of immediate distress. He treats his job as a calling and continually refuses to settle for anything less than quality photojournalism. His photographs are published by a variety of clients including Nikon World Magazine, ONE.org, Kenneth Cole Awearness, and Shutterbug Magazine.
Tyler lives in The Midwest and is studying photojournalism at Western Kentucky University. Traveling extensively, he is available year-round for foreign and domestic assignments.
